Our Approach to Education
Education at Spoke & Weal is ongoing, intentional, and structured for growth. Our program blends classroom learning with in-salon experience, offering our team the tools they need to deliver expert service while evolving their craft.
Key elements of our training program:
- Weekly hands-on model training with real-time feedback
- Foundational and advanced haircutting techniques
- Color theory, formulation, balayage, and corrective color
- Client consultation, communication, and retention
- Styling fundamentals, including blow-dry and finish work
- Texture education with a focus on coily, curly, and natural hair types
We pair new stylists with seasoned mentors who offer support, guidance, and insight across every stage of development.
The Assistant Progream
The Spoke & Weal Assistant Program is an immersive two-year path designed for recent graduates and licensed professionals seeking mentorship in a fast-paced, high-standard salon. Each assistant focuses on either cut or color, receiving intensive training in their discipline while supporting senior stylists on the floor.
